Before you connect anything
Confirm the address bar. A phishing clone of a swap interface is visually identical and differs only in the domain. Type the address or use a bookmark you created yourself; do not arrive from a message, an advertisement or a search result you have not checked.
FBT Swap has exactly one official domain, fbtswap.ir. Anything else using the name is not us, and nobody from the project will ever contact you first.
Network and balance
Pick the network before anything else, because it decides liquidity, gas and which token contract you are actually trading. Make sure you hold the native coin of that network for gas — ETH on Ethereum and rollups, BNB on BNB Chain, POL on Polygon, AVAX on Avalanche, SOL on Solana.
A wallet with tokens but no native coin cannot transact at all, which is the most common first-time dead end.
Verifying the token you are buying
Symbols are not unique. Anyone can deploy a token called USDC. Paste or confirm the contract address from a source you trust — the official project site, or the token list the interface ships — and check it on the network explorer.
If you cannot verify the address, you are not buying the thing you think you are buying.
Reading the quote and signing
Check four numbers: the rate, the price impact, the slippage tolerance and the fee. Then read the wallet prompt itself — the approval screen names the token, the spender contract and the amount, and the swap screen names the network.
Sign only when those match what you intended. After signature the transaction is irreversible; there is no support channel on earth that can undo it.
