Case one: you have the phrase but the app will not open
This is the easy case. The application password is local and unlocks a local encrypted store; the phrase is the actual wallet. Install any compatible wallet, restore from the phrase, and the accounts return.
Nothing is lost here. The password only ever protected a copy.
Case two: you restored but the balance is missing
Almost always a derivation path or account index mismatch, where the same phrase produced different addresses in the new application. Check the path setting, scan additional account indices, and compare an address you remember.
Occasionally it is a network issue instead — the balance is on a chain the wallet has not added. Check the explorer for the address directly before concluding anything.
Case three: the phrase is gone
There is no recovery. No company, no court and no cryptographic technique can reproduce a key from nothing, and the blockchain holds no identity record to appeal to.
This is the hard, unqualified answer. Every service claiming otherwise is a fraud, and they are numerous because the desperation is real.
The recovery-scam pattern
They appear within hours of any public mention of a loss. They ask for the phrase "to verify", or an upfront fee, or remote access to your machine. Some impersonate the wallet vendor; some impersonate law enforcement.
FBT Swap will never contact you first, never ask for a recovery phrase and cannot restore access to anything. Any message claiming otherwise is an impersonation regardless of how convincing the branding looks.
